Belfast Exposed Egia Cultural Centre, 12th of March-19th of April 2002 D.A.E. is opening the season of Front Line Compilation events with an exhibition of photos by Belfast Exposed, a community organisation from Belfast that was set up in 1983. This organisation was started up by a group of local photographers who were interested in documenting life in the city and in encouraging all the local communities to use the medium of photography to preserve and understand their own environment better. Belfast Exposed has an impressive photography archive that documents daily life in the city. By maintaining a neutral attitude, the pictures in this archive try to show an overview of all the different social and political visions that can be found in Northern Ireland. With the aim of maintaining the same feel of getting closer to the local
community, we have chosen the exhibition hall in Egia Cultural Centre
in San Sebastián, as a place to house this exhibition.
